Job Title: Yard Operative

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £12.76 per hour plus regular overtime

Job type: Permanent, Full Time

Working hours: Monday – Friday 07.30am – 4:30pm plus regular overtime (Saturday mornings 08.00am – 12.30pm paid at time and a half).

About The Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Yard Operative to join our team in Wavertree, Liverpool.

The Yard Operative will assist in the running of a busy builder’s yard.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Serve customers quickly and efficiently

· Collate orders for delivery

· Receive and check incoming deliveries

· Ensure paperwork is accurate

· Assist with regular stock takes

· Maintain standards of cleanliness and safety within the working environment

· Undertake any reasonable task from time to time at the Branch Manager’s request as may be deemed appropriate within the scope of the post

About you:

· You must have a Forklift Licence

· An understanding of general building, roofing and timber materials

· Flexible ‘can-do’ attitude

· Ability to provide excellent customer service

· Able to work effectively in a team or alone under own initiative

· Strong communication skills

· Experience cutting timber to size desirable but not essential
